FameBid
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of FameBid (the “Service”), available at famebid.app and related domains. By creating an account, placing a bid, submitting a profile, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
The English version of these Terms is the controlling language. Translations are provided for convenience only.
1. What FameBid is
FameBid is a public, pay-to-rank leaderboard for creators. Rankings are determined by verified payments credited to a creator’s board totals — not by algorithmic reach, editorial taste, or follower counts.
The Service currently operates two boards credited by the same eligible payment: an All-Time leaderboard that never resets, and a Weekly leaderboard that resets each ISO week (Monday 00:00 UTC). Hall of Fame records finalized weekly results. Optional features such as Invite to Challenge, Creator Circle, callouts, Fame Pages, share cards, and embeddable badges may also be available.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use FameBid.
You are responsible for your account credentials, for keeping your contact email accurate, and for activity under your account. You may sign in with email/password or supported social providers. Some providers may not supply an email; in that case you must complete a real email before certain features work.
You may not impersonate another person or brand, claim ownership of social profiles you do not control, or use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purposes.
3. Creator profiles and content
When you claim a spot, you submit profile information such as display name, handle, platform links, avatar URL, and optional bio links. You represent that you have the rights to that content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.
Public profile pages, leaderboards, Hall of Fame entries, callouts, and share/badge assets may display your bid totals, rank, clicks, and profile content. Outbound “Open” links may be redirected through FameBid tracking endpoints.
We may refuse, hide, suspend, or remove profiles or content that violate these Terms, applicable law, payment-provider rules, or our operational policies — including incomplete verification, disputed ownership, or abusive conduct.
4. Bidding and rankings
Bids increase a creator’s board totals. Opening bids and rank-passing increments are subject to minimums published in the product (currently a minimum opening bid and a minimum increment to pass another position). Bids cannot be lowered by the user after payment.
One verified payment credits both All-Time and Weekly totals for the week associated with the payment’s paid timestamp. Estimated rank shown before payment may change if other creators bid while checkout is open.
Rankings reorder when a payment is fulfilled. Nothing about rank changes solely because you returned from a checkout success page — confirmation comes from our payment webhook and ledger.
Refunds, chargebacks, or other adjustments may reduce eligible totals and change rankings. We may mark payments for review when week assignment or other integrity checks fail.
5. Payments, fees, and refunds
Paid features are processed by our payment provider (currently Lemon Squeezy). Prices are in USD; amounts are stored and settled in cents. The checkout amount is the difference required to reach your desired board total under our quoting rules — not a separate “list price.”
By completing checkout you authorize the charge for the quoted amount. Taxes, currency conversion, and card-issuer fees may apply according to the payment provider and your bank.
Because bidding purchases a competitive ranking position that is fulfilled when payment clears, purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law, where we cancel a transaction for integrity reasons, or where we expressly approve a refund or adjustment. Chargebacks may result in account suspension and ranking adjustments.
Until payment credentials are configured in an environment, checkout will fail by design so that no spot goes live without a verified payment.
6. Challenges, Creator Circle, and callouts
Invite to Challenge lets you send a private invite. Acceptance requires verification steps we specify and is free. Challenges compare All-Time or Weekly board totals at cutoff — they do not create a separate bid ledger, cash prizes, or payment commissions.
Creator Circle attributes eligible referrals under published rules and grants community recognition milestones. Creator Circle never pays commissions, credits, or ranking advantages.
Callouts are public taunts between live profiles. They do not settle rankings; outbidding remains the only paid way to change board position.
7. Fame Page and outbound links
If enabled, Fame Page lets you publish a public bio-style page with optional external bio URL and manual links. Outbound clicks are routed through FameBid so destinations come from our database only.
You are solely responsible for the destinations you publish and for any claims made on or through your Fame Page.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Manipulate rankings through stolen cards, fraud, money laundering, or coordinated abuse
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, webhooks, or admin tools
- Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the Service beyond ordinary use
- Upload malware or content that is illegal, sexually exploitative of minors, or that incites violence
- Misrepresent Challenge, Creator Circle, or FameBid as paying affiliates or bid-boost schemes
9. Intellectual property
FameBid, including its name, branding, UI, software, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to content you submit, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, and create derivative works (such as share cards and badges) as needed to operate and promote the Service.
Feedback you send may be used without obligation to you.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RANKINGS, ANALYTICS, CLICK COUNTS, OR ESTIMATED POSITIONS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
FameBid is a competitive paid ranking product. Visibility on the board does not guarantee followers, revenue, brand deals, or platform growth. We are not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, or other third-party platforms except as payment or auth providers we integrate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FameBid and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to FameBid in the three months before the claim or (b) USD $100, except where liability cannot be limited by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access, hide profiles, or reverse credits when we reasonably believe these Terms, payment rules, or law have been violated, or to protect the integrity of the boards.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including payments already processed, IP licenses for content already displayed, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
13. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update features, minimums, boards, or these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of famebid.app, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that jurisdiction will have exclusive venue for disputes that cannot be resolved informally, except where consumer mandatory protections require otherwise.
